What I need to do is relax. Take some time for myself. In other words implement a “treat yourself”. A treat yourself is a special kind of me-time. During that time I really treat myself to something. Movie, dinner, anything that takes my fancy, really. The only rule is, it has to calm me down and really let me enjoy myself.
This week I decided to create an at home spa. I always loved science class because we got to mix stuff (and possibly create explosions sshh!) therefor I decided to DIY it. I created an arsenal of stuff for myself. Really with the amount of products that resulted two people could’ve gotten a pampering session.
I started with a facial steam. Somehow this always makes my mind go completely blank. Never knew that was a possibility for a chronic wonderer. But it worked so yeey for me! Next was a deep cleanse mask. Just for your info a baking soda face mask hurts. At least it wasn’t as relaxing for me as I had hoped. Until I saw the result. Loving it, worth the pain!
Next step scrubbing. Literally rinsing myself from all the stress. Which actually works. I’m telling you my skin is so soft. Incredible really, especially since afterwards I put on some oil and slid right into bed (after it dried a bit). Where I accidentally created a slip and slide. My silk sheets gave me a nice fun work out. Will I or won’t I fall out of bed? Question of the night. I didn’t luckily !
My day was wonderful. I relaxed. I didn’t wonder or obsess. It was just what the doctor ordered. No phone, just me enjoying me. Pampering myself in this grand way is definitely something I should take up in my routine.
Sometimes mixing things up turns out really great.
