Fasten your seat belts because there is a confession on the way. You all know the story of when girls get home, we supposedly take of our bra and feel intense happiness and are ready to take on the rest of the day. Not me. I have a complete other protocol which has been greatly facilitated by the fact that I live alone and on the 3rd floor. I am on a whole other level. Literally. I don’t do this everyday because of responsibilities, but this week was just asking for me to reach a high level of comfy at home. This weeks treat yourself took a whole new turn!
Comfy at home is what the picture at home describes. This is the ultimate happiness feeling for me, minus the dog and the scratch haha! This past Sunday I stayed in all day and guess what? I never even bothered to go looking for pants. Nor did I bother to go looking for a top. That’s right. I spend the entire day in my lingerie. Doing what you ask? Well I studied, I read, I napped and I ate. This day can definitely be added to the top 10 Best Days ever. Again I feel you wanting to ask why. To say it in Kevin Hart’s words; Let me explain.
First of all treating yourself doesn’t always mean spending money or doing something really special. Well it can, but it is not necessary. Treating yourself can take on many forms. Sometimes it means taking a step back and recharging yourself. Second, finding time during the day to pick up a book is really a treat on its own. Being able to do this at the highest level of comfort is just showing yourself a high if not the highest form of love. At least if you ask me. And last but not least napping. Do I really have to explain how wonderful napping is? I mean I think we can all agree that napping is relatively better than sleeping, even though sleeping is pretty great too.
Ironically I was reading the book by Sarah Knight called: ‘’The life changing magic of not giving a f***.’’ I somehow think she would be proud of me, knowing I was reading her book at my highest level of unbotheredness. Not that her being proud of me matters but still. Yes I am fully aware that unbotheredness is not a word, but this is my blog therefore I can make words up. To add more irony to irony I am writing this in a shirt that says ‘’Treat yourself’’’. Now how is that for unbotheredness?
In case you missed the confession. Here it is: I have been spending full days in my lingerie for years now. I can seriously recommend it.
Treating yourself to some unbotheredness should really be part of everyone’s routine.
Love,
DCPR.
Ps. This is my 100th post!! How cool is that?
