Cravings, cravings, cravings… do you suffer from them as much as I do? A few weeks ago I had this great lunch at Ellis with a friend. We had burgers and fries in the afternoon. It was soooooo good. The kinda meal that afterwards your body just demands a nap. Ever since I had been craving to do that once more. The food was just too good. Also I watched Eat, Pray, Love again not too long ago which totally put me in the mood to marvel at food again. Well I’m always in the mood to marvel at anything but the movie made my original craving even stronger. You can guess how this story went. As the title suggests I went along with satisfying my cravings at Ellis.

It was worth the wait, the food was amazing. I was sad to finish it as that would mean that it was finished. I am well aware that it sounds weird, but as you know in my world that makes perfect sense. I’m going to try and explain it against my better conscious. It tastes like love. I can’t describe it differently. I felt so grateful to be able to buy that lunch for myself, I got emotional. The meat was juicy and well seasoned, just amazing. The weird thing is I have had the exact same meal a couple of times. So you would think that it would get ordinary but no, it was still as amazing.
As amazing as the meal was I did have to pull a life hack to get it. Which is the plot twist in this treat yourself. Apart from satisfying my craving, celebrating my life and all the good it has to offer I also learned something. I’m not going to be mean and not share. Here is the life hack that I learned. As it is a very popular restaurant it was full when I arrived. However I successfully hacked the system.

I went around the block called the restaurant and as if I had no notion of them being full I asked: ‘’Do you have a table for one available in a half an hour?’’ I added the half an hour to give the people eating some time to finish as I knew there was no way that everyone in there had just sat down. They said it was no problem I could just walk in as I was just by myself. Obviously that is not good enough, you don’t have a table until it is reserved. Which I asked them to do and they did so, as soon as I arrived the second time my table was ready. Successfully hacked the system😁. Glad I did, because when I was lunching many people came in and were turned away because the restaurant was full.
Are you more of a sweet-toothed person? Yeah me too, I also have proof as I had delicious american pancakes for lunch once. Click here how to read how that went down.
Having this extravagant lunch completely turned my day around. I say that because right as I decided to go to the restaurant I got a text message that made steam come out of my ears. I was so mad, my inner peace was completely ruined. However during the lunch I slowly but steadily let go of the anger and by my last bite didn’t even think about it anymore. I was fully reconnected with myself and all the positive surrounding me. Here you see how important it is to stay connected to yourself and to nurture your mind. I walked out of the restaurant feeling zen, recharged and ready to continue achieving. ‘
I hacked the system and myself. This is next level winning at life, don’t you think?
Love,
DCPR.
