December 1st, the start of the last month of the year. It is such a cliché but I can’t believe it is already December. It is on days like this that we or at least I realize that time really does fly by, which is all the more reason to grasp everyday and milk it for all that it’s worth. December has every possibility to do so (for example the Cologne Christmas Market). You can’t turn a corner where you are not confronted with the slogan of December; “The most magical time of the year“. Whether that is truly so I leave to you to decide. However there is no reason why you shouldn’t take full advantage of the slogan and make it a December to remember.
Why You Should Make It A December To Remember
First of all December starting means that you now only have 31 days (from December 1st) to complete all the things you set out to do this year. I’m rooting for you as much as I am rooting for myself. That is not the only thing I am rooting for. I’m also rooting for December to have a lot of fun, love filled memories. Memories that in their own way or form can override some of the “bad” days of this year. Basically I want for the later you that is thinking back about December of any given year to have a or hopefully multiple wonderful memories to look back on. Why?
I’ll tell you why. I wish for you to end the year on a high, no matter what happened during the past months. This will create a momentum that will enable the upcoming year to also open on a high. Just be sure to know that I am not talking about the ‘’official holidays’’. Although I wish all of you a wonderful time.

How To Make It A December To Remember
I’m talking about doing anything that will make you remember December. That could be a big treat yourself or something that you have been postponing since January of this year. I’m looking at those end of year goals, how are they coming along?

Aside from the productive goals, what does your heart want? What memories do you want to have made in this specific year? Better yet what specific December memories do you want to have made? There are so many things that you can only do in December that you could look into. For example traveling to places that celebrate Christmas in a really religious way, for example Strasbourg. Or you can plan a visit to the nearest biggest Christmas Market or the most popular one? Go out hot chocolate taste testing as many restaurants add variations of the classic one to their menu in December only.

Or travel to a place that becomes unique during the December month. A classic example of that is Disney. If you want to stay home and enjoy why not have a movie night with movies that came out during the year that you haven’t seen yet? Make Netflix and the other streaming options really useful. Or perhaps go crazy, for my standards at least, and have a *friendly* snow fight. You do need snow for this one though!

Just so many options to answer the question of how to make it a December to Remember. I bet when you sit down, and that is what you should do, you can come up with way more options than maybe days available in December. Make a list for yourself of all the things you still want to do and plan to do them. Figure out what’s available near you, how to get to things further away, opening hours all that is important for you to gift, you get it, the experience to yourself. It’s the only way to create your own version of the most magical time of the year.

What matters is that on December 31st at 23:59 PM you feel that you have done all you could have possibly done in this year. That you’ve lived the year to the best of your abilities. That no experience is left unexperienced. No memory is left uncreated. Make sure that on December 31st at 23:59 PM you can say; ‘’All that I wanted to do this year I have done, I’m now ready for 202.. .’’.
Make it a December to remember.
Love,
DCPR.
