To quote the woman that taught me a lot about love and thanks to Mr. Big also furniture:
‘’I’ve been cheating on fashion with furniture.’’ Not just furniture also lots and lots of DIY shops. I had to visit all these DIY shops to finally create my DIY dream bed. I had been dreaming, excuse the pun, of my dream bed for a very long time, even more so after starting this journey.

I figured since I’m changing so many aspects of my life why not my touchable surrounding too?! Since moving is just too much of a hassle, I’m just upgrading everything inside with the main focus being my bed. On my one-day list my bed is written separately and not under “DIY projects”. I’ve been wanting to do it forever and am very happy that “one-day” has finally arrived!
I’ve come to realize that when I used to say “I’m going to the DIY shop” I was wrong. The store I was referring to is actually just an arts & crafts store that sells tools as well. The DIY shops I’ve been to this time around are really really different. Ohh.. I know this sounds like I’ve never been in one before but I have! Just the last time I went one could still describe me as a “child”, so it’s been a while! I, of course, had to go to get all the materials for my dream bed.
After a gazillion trips to the DIY shop and many moments of being lost. Yes, I mean lost as in not knowing where the exit of the maze of a store is. I’d tell you how often that happened but I stopped counting after the second time it happened. Either way, I have finally found everything I need, so it’s finally time to start assembling. To be continued! You can click here to see how this project turned out.
I wonder if I’ll sleep better in my dream bed?!
Love,
DCPR.
