The previous posts have all been about me going off on adventures. Going off wandering, which I love to do, however you don’t have to travel to celebrate yourself and your life. In every day there is also something to experience. It is just overlooked because it often comes in small portions, especially if the day is a Monday, however small portions could be the greatest moments. They are often forgotten until one day you’re sitting around thinking back and then it suddenly hits you all those Monday blues had something to offer.
It is just a shame that it’s almost always later that you realize how amazing the moment was. We need to take the later out of the equation and bring that sense of joy to the present. Realizing how amazing a moment is when we’re experiencing it. Celebrating life should be something we do daily, even on those dreaded Mondays and even when we’re feeling the Monday blues. The great thing is it can happen right at home, completely free. Well I used my phone, which wasn’t free and my bed which wasn’t free either but you get the point.
Here is what I did last Monday. Yes this happened on a Monday, the day that most people have a never-ending feud with. Drumroll.. I cranked up the music and danced and jumped around on my bed, in the kitchen basically on everything that could hold my weight*. I danced and frolicked around the entire night, even dared to share some of it on my snapchat under the motto of spreading love and not hate. The best part of this all, besides the fact that I got a great workout(!!), is that I felt exactly the same as when I go off on wondering adventures. I still do actually. I successfully changed the Monday blues into Monday’s tunes.
Normally when I go off on adventures I learn a new life lesson, this time I learned it is not only about learning life lessons it is about happiness. My happiness.
Love,
DCPR.
Ps. There’s also a Disney version of this which you can check out here.
*Be Careful if you’re trying this at home and test a gazillion times whether the object you are standing on can actually hold your weight!
