First of all ladies: HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY! To all the women out there this is for you.

An International Woman’s Day Ode To All Women
You are beautiful. Don’t let anyone convince you that any part of you is too big, small, thin or round. None of that is true. Listen to Bruno Mars; You are perfect just the way you are. From head to toe, not unimportant to mention. Also, I want you to know that you are good enough. What you bring to the table is more than enough.
Everyone that is whispering behind your back, let them stay exactly there. Behind your back. You continue to do you, because there is nothing and I’m going to say it twice for me to be sure that you read it; nothing that you can’t do, have and/or achieve. I repeat there’s NOTHING that you can’t do, have and/or achieve. I believe in each and everyone of us. Each one of us is fierce, beautiful and wonderful. We women can and should have it all. No dream is unachievable and no mountain is too high to climb.
‘’There’s NOTHING that women can’t do, have and/or achieve.’’
Do what you have to do to make sure that you feel on top of your game. To make sure that you’re feeling yourself and are loving yourself. Feeling great and on top of the world. Don’t let anyone make you feel less for your way of getting to that point. For me, personally, I feel ready, able and willing to tackle the world when I just had my hair blown out. For years I felt as if I was the most vain person in the world for needing that, but no more. I’m a woman who loves getting her hair blown out. There, I said it.
It makes me feel great both inside and out. There’s no one I’m doing it for, nor am I trying to please anyone. Well.. that’s a lie. I’m trying to please ME! I’m trying to make sure that I feel empowered and good about myself. Don’t go around trying to please every single soul on the planet because not even Superwoman could achieve that. Make sure that with all you do, you’re proud of you, you’re making yourself happy and most importantly are not messing with your own mental health.
Also ladies we have to know that our day is every day, it’s not just today. Yes today is international women’s day, but everyday is your day. Everyday is my day. Our twenty-four hours to make, have, and do it all is today and all days after. I want all of us to know and remember that. Celebrating ourselves shouldn’t be a thing of just 24 hours it should be a thing of forever and always. And let me be perfectly clear, the celebration is not just because we are women there’s a lot more to celebrate because we are women.
Celebrate what you have achieved, manifested, fought for and been through. Celebrate the you are becoming for you every day despite the world telling you the way you are being a woman is wrong, celebrate the doors you knocked down that were built specially for us women. As a dark skinned girl there’ve been more than should be justified. Either way we are here today, I am here today, you are here today doing it and that is something to be proud of and something to be celebrated by us all for us all. Let’s walk next to one another and leave behind all the nonsense that we use to divide us and celebrate everything that is great about us women.
Whatever it is that you set out to do you can accomplish. Believe in yourself, your capabilities and your strengths. We, women, can, do, have and achieve it all. I believe in us.
From one woman to another: Happy International Women’s Day ❤!
Love,
DCPR.
